FBI Interviews Clinton as Part of Email Investigation
On Saturday, the Federal Bureau of Investigation interviewed presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton about her private email server, NBC reports. The meeting reportedly took about three-and-a-half hours at FBI headquarters in Washington D.C.
“Secretary Clinton gave a voluntary interview this morning about her email arrangements while she was Secretary,” Clinton spokesperson Nick Merrill said in a statement obtained by NBC. “She is pleased to have had the opportunity to assist the Department of Justice in bringing this review to a conclusion. Out of respect for the investigative process, she will not comment further on her interview.”
The FBI is looking into Clinton over her use of a private email server during her time as Secretary of State. This involved the transmission of possibly classified documents. She might have broken the law by doing this, but no charges have been filed as of yet.
The Daily Caller caught wind of the meeting beforehand, and reported it on Friday.
