Trump Seeks $10 Million Claim, What is the Story He Alleges Staffer Leaked?

Image of Donald Trump via CNN Donald Trump has filed a claim accusing a former campaign staffer of leaking stories to The New York Post gossip column, Page Six, according to a new report.

The Associated Press reports the likely GOP presidential candidate filed a $10 million claim against former staffer Sam Nunberg.  The legal filing claims Nunberg leaked confidential information about the campaign in violation of his non-disclosure agreement.

What is Nunberg accused of leaking?  The lawsuit reportedly cites a Page Six story published in May that stated Trump campaign spokeswoman Hope Hicks and former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski were engaged in a “public screaming match” on a Manhattan street corner.  Here is an excerpt from that article:

There’s big drama between the top advisers at the Trump campaign.

Donald Trump spokeswoman Hope Hicks and campaign manager Corey Lewandowski were seen having a public screaming match on the street in Manhattan on Wednesday night.

Onlookers were stunned to see Hicks, 27, hollering at Lewandowski, 42, in plain view of passersby on 61st Street near Park Avenue.

One witness told us, “Hope was screaming at Corey, ‘I am done with you!’ It was ugly, she was doubled over with her fists clenched. He stood there looking shocked with his hands on his head.”

The AP obtained a court filing in which Nunberg states Trump is trying cover up “media coverage of an apparent affair.”

The New York Post spoke with Nunberg on Wednesday afternoon, he claimed Trump was “attempting to bring a frivolous and retaliatory arbitration proceeding against me essentially to punish me and shut me up.” is working to obtain additional information on the matter. Hicks and Lewandowski have reportedly denied the allegations that they had an affair.
